How to use this Curriculum?
This curriculum is created for children ages 3-7, but is ideal for any child in the preschool / kindergarten learning abilities range. Book 1-3 create a gentle ease into schooling, letters, numbers, and foundational education concepts. Books 4-7 increase in difficulty, and more subjects are introduced (sight words, phonics, social studies, reading skills, and writing). More info can be found below.
This curriculum is designed to be completed in 40 weeks, whether that is done in one year or broken up into two. The beauty of this curriculum is its flexibility. Lessons that are too easy or hard can be skipped, and lesson don’t have to be completed before moving on. Each lesson is created to be completed in one day, however, can be broken up into multiple days if needed. There is no right or wrong way to use this curriculum!
About the Foundations in Education Curriculum
With this curriculum, your child will be completing a series of 7 books over the course of 40 weeks. As your child progresses through the books, you will notice that the design and layout change, more subjects are introduced, lessons become longer, and more is expected from your child. The intention behind the design is to keep your child engaged, while working through Preschool & Kindergarten. Each day consists of 4 activities that focus on: Bible, Social & Emotional Development, Language & Literacy, Mathematics, Science, and Creative Arts for Books 1-3. Books 4-7 introduce Phonics, Reading, Spelling, Vocabulary, Writing, Social Studies, Social Skills, and Sight Words.
