Granola Bar Ingredients
- 5 cups rolled oats
- 3/4 cup of honey
- 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar OR syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips / dried fruit / nuts / coconut flakes / flax seed / chia seed

Instructions
- In a small to medium sized Dutch oven or sauce melt the butter on low to medium heat. Once butter if almost melted, add honey, sweetener (brown sugar / syrup), and salt.
- 1 stick butter (1/2 cup), 3/4 cup honey, 1/2 cup sweetener, 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Once the base ingredients begin to boil, add in oats and vanilla and half the chocolate chips then turn the heat off.
- 5 cups rolled oats (any oats will work), 1 teaspoon vanilla, 1/4 cup chocolate chips (this will melt and help bind the granola bars together)
- Stir the oats and wet ingredients until they are thoroughly combined. Pour oats into a greased 9×13 pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips or white chocolate chips and dried fruit (plus whatever additional additives you wish to add) on top.
- Using lightly wet fingers, press the added ingredients into the oats. Press firmly to help pack the oats tightly together. The tighter you can pack the oats together, the better the granola bars will form.
- Place the granola bars in the fridge for at least 2 hours, or in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Continue to store the granola bars in the fridge to ensure the granola bars stay intact. If you are able to firmly press the oats tight, the bars should remain intact at room temperature. Store for 3-4 days.
