Natural Deodorant Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons organic arrowroot powder
- 2 tablespoons magnesium hydroxide powder
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon bentonite clay
- 2 tablespoons organic coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons organic cocoa butter
- 2 tablespoons organic beeswax
- Essential Oils (organic)
- 5 drops organic vitamin E
- 2.5 ounce empty deodorant bottle
The arrowroot powder absorbs moisture, while the magnesium hydroxide neutralizes odors. Baking soda and bentonite clay work together to keep your skin clean and fresh. Coconut oil and cocoa butter provide deep hydration and nourishment, while beeswax ensures the formula holds together. The essential oils—bergamot, cedarwood, and cypress—offer a refreshing, earthy scent with skin-benefiting properties. Vitamin E provides antioxidant support, helping to keep your skin smooth and protected.

Instructions
- In a double boiler, or in a small glass or ceramic bowl (microwave), melt the coconut oil, cocoa butter, and beeswax until fully melted and smooth.
- 2 tablespoons each
- In a separate bowl, combine the arrowroot powder, magnesium hydroxide powder, baking soda, and bentonite clay. Stir well to ensure the powders are evenly mixed. Make sure you do NOT use a metal bowl or utensils, as it will react with the bentonite clay.
- Once the base ingredients are melted, remove from heat. Slowly add the powder mixture into the melted oils, stirring continuously with a wooden or plastic spatula to avoid clumps.
- Add the essential oils and vitamin E oil. Stir until well incorporated.
- Men’s scent: bergamot, cedarwood, and cypress (what me and my husband use)
- Women’s scent: lavender, bergamot, geranium
- Pour the mixture into a deodorant container or a small jar. Allow it to cool and solidify at room temperature (may take many hours) or quicker in the fridge (roughly 1 hour).
- Apply a small amount to your underarms as needed. Enjoy the natural freshness throughout your day!
